A—03 · The 17 acres

Amenities you
don’t maintain.

Most people who want horse property end up buying five acres and a tractor. Equestrian Pointe splits the difference: boarding, an arena and trails on shared ground, plus a full sports park — for $52 a month and a lot you can mow in twenty minutes.

The Equestrian Pointe stables — a timber barn with a green metal roof

Board your horse two blocks away

Stables, corral and a full riding arena on site, with trails leading out of the neighborhood. Buy the horse after you buy the house — the hard part is already built.

A—04 · Cedar City

Open country.
Twelve minutes
from downtown.

Equestrian Pointe sits on the northwest edge of Cedar City — pasture fence and mountain views out the kitchen window, and a Tony Award–winning theatre festival a twelve-minute drive down UT-56. The isolation is the view, not the commute.

The Shakespeare Festival

11 minutes · 4.9 miles

Fred C. Adams founded the Utah Shakespeare Festival in 1961 and it has run every summer since 1962. In 2000 it won the Tony Award for America’s Outstanding Regional Theatre — one of the oldest and largest Shakespeare festivals in North America, in a town this size.

The season runs June through October and draws more than 100,000 people to Cedar City. Three theatres on the SUU campus — the 900-seat Engelstad, the Randall L. Jones and the Anes Studio — plus a free Greenshow outdoors every night before curtain.

Brian Head & Cedar Breaks

41–47 minutes up the canyon

Brian Head is the highest base-elevation resort in Utah — the town and Giant Steps Lodge sit at 9,800 feet, with Brian Head Peak at 11,312. Powder in winter; lift-served mountain biking, alpine tubing and scenic lift rides in summer.

Cedar Breaks National Monument — a half-mile-deep amphitheater of red rock sitting above 10,000 feet — is 41 minutes away on UT-14, and five minutes from Brian Head once you’re up top.

Gateway to the parks

Zion 1 hr 10 · Bryce 1 hr 42

Cedar City bills itself as the gateway to the parks and the drive times hold up. Zion is an hour and ten minutes down I-15. Bryce Canyon is under two hours whichever way you go — I-15 north or the scenic climb over UT-14.

Both are day trips: leave after breakfast, home for dinner. Add Cedar Breaks and the Dixie National Forest and there is more public land inside an hour of this driveway than most people see in a year.

Drive times measured October 2026 in normal traffic. Mountain routes change with the season — UT-14 and SR-143 can close or require chains in winter, which lengthens the trip to Brian Head and Cedar Breaks. Verify current conditions before you plan around them.
